I never play a visual novel twice. I rarely ever watch a movie twice. I very rarely watch a series twice.

The whole concept of the game is incredible well executed, most of the time I would feel myself immersed in the story, interrupted by the sudden reminiscence that I was looking at a "theater screen", every time noticing how the timer was running out.

Until it happened.

And before I even realized, I was hitting the "Start" button once again, realizing how little life do we have in half an hour.

I don't wanna do spoilers about anything else, so I would recommend anyone else to just go on this blind :3

Incredible game overall!

This work was haunting. The contrast between the slow, slice-of-life segments from Bariqa's POV as she navigates her family, friends and future, and the ominous counting down of the clock in the bottom-right corner is really effective at creating a sense of dread and sadness throughout this VN.

SPOILER BELOW

I think the part that struck me the most was when the timer hit zero, and then the screen went completely white. When the list of casualty names appeared, I was reminded of the scene in Chainsaw Man when the Gun Devil began to make its attacks. It's one thing to talk about mass death in numbers, but it's another to see those names line up against each other. Names that belong to people with their own internal worlds and desires. People who've had their futures ripped away from them because of things outside of their control.

Thank you for making this work. I really hope more people can experience it.

nice novel
